Between April 24 and May 1, Fair Districts PA and the League of Women Voters PA held events across the commonwealth to make it clear: now is the time to put transparency and accountability into the redistricting process.
Events were part of the League of Women Voters National Day of Action on April 29, advocating for People Powered Fair Maps. With 22 actions spanning more than 24 counties, the people of PA made it clear that we want LACRA passed NOW, not sometime in the future. And we want as much of the bill as possible, so we have real transparency, real public engagement and enforceable rules for how maps are drawn, now and in the future.
Time is short to pass reform, which is why we’re making the case for fair maps in every way we can. Democracy is NOT a spectator sport!
