Congressional districts are the boundaries that define representation in the U.S. House of Representatives. There are currently 18 congressional districts in Pennsylvania. (There are no districts for U.S. senators, because they represent the entire state.) The number of congressional districts can change each decade as the 435 congressional seats are reapportioned between the states after each national census. PA had 18 seats in the House of Representatives before the 2021 reapportionment, and has lost one to three seats every decade since the 1920s. (Check Historical Apportionment Data here).
